The City of Eden Board of Adjustments was created and esablished by ordinance in 1991.  The board consists of 5 members and 2 alternates.  Four members must be present to conduct a meeting.  The powers and duties of the board generally include:

1.  To hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is error in any order, requirement, decision or determination made by the building official in the enforcement of the zoning ordinance, rules and regulations of the city.

2.  To hear and decide special exceptions to the terms of the city's zoning ordinance, but in harmony with the general purposes and intent of the ordinance.
